Information Technology Procurement Manager

Location: Eindhoven

We are currently working with a world leader in the semiconductor industry who are looking to add a strategic sourcing manager to their IT procurement team located out of Eindhoven. This role is initially a contract with opportunity for long term extension and will be worked hybrid from the company’s headquarters out of Eindhoven. In this role you will be responsible for the strategic direction of assigned IT commodity groups (IT Software, IT Hardware, and IT Services) and for the translation of the teams’ IT requirements into agreements with best-in-class vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commodity Strategy Development – Develop, implement and manage commodity strategies and sourcing plans in close alignment with business stakeholders.
• Supply Base Management – Develop a supplier base within the assigned commodity group that meets business needs and improve the supply base to world-class-level.
• Stakeholder Management – Build multi-level relationships with the IT business in order to ensure that supplier management strategies contribute to bottom-line business success.
• Negotiation – Lead cross functional teams during commercial negotiations with suppliers and define what “good” looks like in terms of total cost of ownership.
• Sourcing & Contracting – Lead supplier selection processes in line with commodity strategies, manage legal contracts and ensure all aspects of regulatory compliance are adhered to in the procurement process, including documentation.
• Supplier Evaluation – Conduct supplier evaluations and ensure continuous improvement of service quality and alignment with market trends.

Key Required Skills:

• Proven background working in procurement/sourcing for IT services, software, and/or hardware
• 5+ years experience working in procurement/purchasing/sourcing
• willing to become a sourcing expert in the assigned commodity groups and you have the ability to transcend daily operations by using your strategic focus
• IT know how to combine commodity expertise with commercial awareness, possess excellent negotiation skills and are familiar with the development and implementation of commodity strategies and sourcing plans
• Professional English language, Dutch is a plus
