European Recruitment are working closely with a leading automotive OEM, based in Munich, who are looking for an experienced Low Level Software Developer to join their team.

In this role you’ll help develop the next generation of embedded software platforms / ECUs for highly networked and innovative automotive software functions.

Responsibilities as Low Level Software Developer:

• Develop device drivers and work on the low-level software architecture on a variety of microcontrollers for the next generation of central ECUs.
• You will work together with software architecture and functional safety.
• Collaborate with high-tech industry partners.
• You will enable the software stack for new hardware generations and define with partners the details of the hardware ECU platform.

Requirements:

• A university degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable course of study or a comparable qualification.
• Extensive practical software development experience in C++ required.
• Extensive experience in BSP and driver development for embedded systems, preferably in automotive context with classic AUTOSAR.
• In-depth knowledge of RTOS and CPU architectures like ARM or Tricore required.
• Experience with bus systems (e. g. Ethernet, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI) required.
• Expertise in HW debuggers (preferably trace32), oscilloscopes and logic analysers.

Desirable experience:

• Experience in developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices.
• Experience with HW bring up.
• Knowledge in automotive ethernet switches.
• Knowledge in scripting languages (e. g. Python).
