RTOS Software Engineer

European Recruitment are working closely with a multinational telecommunications company, based in Paris, who are looking for a number of talented RTOS Software Engineers to join their team.

This role will require you to work onsite at the Paris R&D centre.

Responsibilities as RTOS Software Engineer:

• Design and implement reliable real-time operating systems according to the project requirements and hardware specifications.
• Write efficient and robust code for OS development, device drivers, file systems, memory management, communication, scheduler etc.
• Conduct research on state-of-the-art techniques and algorithms for real-time scheduling, memory management, Heterogeneous OS communication etc.
• Test and debug real-time operating systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Manage project timelines and report any delays or issues to the supervisor.
• Generate diagnostic reports, technical manuals and research papers.

Requirements:

• PhD degree in computer science or related fields. Computer science PhD is preferred.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
• Familiarity with common operating systems such as Linux, Unix, FreeBSD etc.
• Experience with user-space real-time operating systems such as RTLinux or RTAI is a plus.
• Experience with file systems such as SPDK or FS development experience is a plus.
• Experience with hardware/software co-design techniques such as FPGA programming is a plus.
• Excellent diagnostic skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
