Senior Mechanical Engineer – Aerospace / Defense / CAD / PDM

This global aerospace and defense company provide advanced defense across air, land, sea and space. With roughly $17billion in revenue they are building their team in Brighton.

Key responsibilities for a Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• Ensure full compliance with requirements either by analysis (FEA, hand-calcs, etc) and/or by physical testing.
• Develop methods that fit Design Criteria and Performance Standards
• Apply general product design/competency and specialist knowledge in the relevant design methods
• Operate CAD & FEA systems
• Provide Technical Guidance to other engineers on a diverse range of engineering topics
• Investigate and report on product performance in terms of field performance and in-house testing in order to meet customer/application/market needs

Key skills for a Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• MUST have a British passport and able to gain SC clearance
• Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in and Aerospace / Defense company
• CAD and PDM proficient
• In depth knowledge of BS8888 and Geometric Tolerancing
• Use of design tools DFM, DFA, DFMEA
