Senior Physical Design Engineer

Location: Neuchatel, Switzerland (On-Site)

We are working with one of Europe’s leading low power semiconductor development groups who are looking to add an experienced Physical Design engineer to join their team in Neuchatel, Switzerland. In this role you will be tasked with defining the physical constraints of the latest blocks that are being developed for Bluetooth low energy chips. This is a permanent role located on-site in Switzerland.

Responsibilities for this Senior Physical Design role:

• Definition of physical constraints of implemented blocks
• Work across floor planning, power planning. logic placement, clock tree synthesis, and routing optimization
• Work to optimize timing and work on static timing analysis
• Make reviews of logic block and/or flows designed by others
• Work on continuous improvement of design methodology and tools

Requirements for this Senior Physical Design Role:

• 5+ years experience working on Physical IC Design Engineering
• Experience working on physical design of SoCs
• Comfortable working on sub 40nm technology nodes
• Experience working across the full physical design flow and a range of physical design tools
• Experience working on low power designs is a plus
• Experience working on automotive projects a plus, but not a must
