Senior Process Integration Engineer – Silicon Photonics
The Senior Process Integration Engineer will take responsibility for the new development activities for this platform in co-operation with leading research partners and foundries.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Process Development and integration of new platform development programs
- Define, characterize and optimize existing process steps / module with the overall performance of the process and product in mind
- Analyse inline, optical and electrical data to evaluate process development activities
- Understanding the needs of different parties involved (external partners and foundries, Huawei design, test and process development teams, Huawei HQ) and translating their needs into specifications and implementation actions
- Establish a thorough understanding of the proposed process flows
- Assistance in the definition of design rules by the Huawei team to ensure product high yield
- Critical, continuous assessment of all processes involved with manufacturability in mind
- Support and contribute to the overall development activities within Caliopa
Requirements:
- Masters’ plus 5 years practical experience or PhD plus 3 years practical experience in a modern CMOS fab in a role either in process integration or as a process engineer (preferably in multiple process areas)
- Degree (Ph.D. or Masters’) in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related technical discipline
- Deep understanding of typical CMOS processes and their interactions.
- Demonstrated experience with CMP / wafer bonding would be beneficial
- Project Management and progress reporting skills
- English language fluency
- Knowledge of Photonics and PICs (photonic integrated circuits) – Desirable
- Knowledge of Si device Physics (photodetectors, modulators) – Desirable
