Senior Researcher – Cloud computing / cloud architecture / IaaS / cloud storage / distributed systems / graph database

Research Centre in Zurich, Munich, Amsterdam, world-leading client, working on research tracks in cloud computing areas such as Infrastructure as a service, cloud software architecture, cloud storage technologies, distributed systems, graph databases, and cloud microservices

As a Senior researcher, you will:

• Lead design, architecture, and implementation of cloud storage technologies.
• Define overall cloud architectures from server to platform, drafting design specifications.
• Plan software IP and collaboration strategy, creating a tech roadmap as a basis for a competitive product portfolio
• Follow leading industry and academic standards, applying these to tech roadmap.

Required skills for this Computing Systems Researcher role:

• PhD in a relevant subject
• Experience in AWS/ Azure / GCP or OpenStack
• Strong understanding of CAP theory/ BASE theory / key-value stores / Databases /distributed ML frameworks / distribute cloud computing frameworks.
• Knowledge of CPU / memory/storage architectures beneficial
