Senior Systems Engineer – MEMS / Mixed Signal / Python / MATLAB

A high-growth Semiconductor manufacturer is looking for an experienced System Engineer to join their team, in line with sustained expansion over the past few years they have taken on new projects and customers. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to have a real impact in developing cutting-edge semiconductor technologies, across MEMS Sensor technology projects.

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the productisation of MEMS-based timing products. The responsibilities will include verification and characterization planning, project coordination, mixed-signal characterization, systems, algorithms and firmware development, hardware and software infrastructure development for test automation, cross-functional interaction with MEMS/CMOS/Operations/Marketing, and prototyping of test and FA methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement test automation to characterize and release into production
• Execute device verification and characterization
• Develop and complete experiments to prototype new technologies and system architectures
• Work to design, develop and validate PCB test platform and firmware to enable automated testing
• Develop and transfer algorithms to final test and production environments
• Support the bring-up of specialized programming systems overseas

Required skill set:

• MS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, ideally PhD
• 5+ years of experience in the development and productization of MEMS or sensor-based devices
• Experience creating and executing verification and characterization plans.
• Experience leading engineering project teams and achieving milestones.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of mixed-signal circuits.
• Programming skills, including Python and MATLAB scripting.
• Hands-on experience with electronics laboratory bench instrumentation including oscilloscopes, digital signal analysers, etc.
• Programming experience in microcontrollers, C or C++ is a plus
