Software Engineer – Layer 1 / Physical Layer / Wireless / LTE / C++ / 3GPP / Protocol Stack

We are recruiting for a Software Engineer with extensive experience in Layer 1 / Physical Layer development to join my client in the Cambridge area on an imtisal 6 month freelance contract.

My client is a leading semiconductor company, and as a Wireless Software Engineer you should have knowledge of C and C++, L1 and Protocol development for 3GPP cellular systems (LTE and/or 5G)

Required Skills & Experience

• In depth knowledge of C and C++
• Experience with specification, design and implementation of real time embedded SW
• Experience with L1 and protocol software development for 3GPP cellular systems (LTE and/or 5G)
• Familiarity with build systems, bug & CR tracking systems and source control

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in SW design for multi-threading processors
• Understanding of processor subsystems, memory and bus architectures
• Experience with DSP programming
