 Software Engineering Manager – Cloud, Python, Networking

 We are recruiting for a Software Manager with experience in managing 10-20 engineers, a strong technical software background and excellent road mapping experience to join my client in the Shannon area of Ireland on a permeant basis.

My client (a multimillion dollar company) is a leading name within the networking space and as a Software Manager you should have hands-on experience in shipping SaaS applications in AWS or GCP or Azure, experience in Python programming, strong experience in growing a team and the desire to  help build products and provide leadership.

Job requirements 

• 6+ years of relevant engineering work experience plus 3+ years’ hands-on technical management experience
• Track record in working with recruiting to hire diverse engineering teams
• You lead by example and bring quality of thoughts and ideas to the team
•  You know how to roadmap and deliver on roadmap
•  You can deal with ambiguity and turn the entropy to energy
•  You have shipped SaaS applications in AWS or GCP or Azure
• Prior track record of CI/CD model to ship software
• Have participated in open source community efforts and preferably contributed to open source
• You know how to run remote teams
•  Prior startup experience is valued but not mandatory

• A related technical degree – BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering
