A leading Anti-Virus software company is looking for an experienced Threat Research Engineer to join their offices in Southern Germany.

Responsibilities: 

  • Help fight digital threats by exposing tactics of malware authors
  • Input into the development of new detection technologies and prevention of IoT/Linux threats
  • Research on IoT Security, especially firmware, traffic and vulnerabilities of IoT products

 

Your profile:

  • BSc/MSc/ PhD in Computer Science or similar
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, C and Shell
  • Familiar with security tools such as IDA Pro, GDB, Wireshark and Yara 
  • Good understanding of networking and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP)
  • Experience with IoT
  • Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux platform and reverse engineering 
  • Experience in working with databases (SQL)
  • Any experience of big data processing or machine learning is desirable
