CPU/NPU Performance Projection & Simulation Engineer
You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their labs Cambridge.
We are looking for a candidate to develop simulation functionalities to facilitate swift architectural exploration & performance assessment. This role involves delving into cutting-edge, high-performance server CPU core & SOC architecture design, providing crucial data support for pivotal decision-making processes.
Additionally, the position entails devising strategies for software/hardware co-optimization features & spearheading the integration of software & hardware components for the next generation processor. An essential aspect of this role is the analysis & extraction of distinctive features from real-world scenario workloads, delivering valuable insights to our in-house chip development department.
Essential Qualifications
- Extensive expertise in workload modeling & CPU architecture.
- Hands-on experience in developing & utilizing performance simulators like GEM5 (O3 model), Sniper, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in developing using dynamic binary instrumentation infrastructures such as QEMU, DynamoRIO, or x86 PIN.
- Strong skills in benchmark analysis & characterization.
- Ability to forecast performance & explore architectures using SoC simulators.
- Excellent collaborative & interpersonal abilities.
Advantageous Qualifications
- Knowledge of NPU/GPU architecture.
- Experience in simulator development for NPU/GPU.
