Expert – Substrate Equipment Operation & Maintenance

You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their manufacturing technology centre in Weilheim (greater Munich).

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire lifecycle of wet process module equipment, including technical assessment, selection, introduction, phase-in, hook-up, tuning, and maintenance.
• Develop and manage the capability of substrate module equipment and the team, including building team structure and enhancing competitiveness in equipment technology.
• Provide technological insights and strategic planning for relevant manufacturing equipment to align with industry trends and advance core equipment technologies.
• Handle equipment upgrades, modifications, or second-source substitutions to improve efficiency, stability, and throughput, while addressing critical technology issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline within the semiconductor industry.
• Over 12 years of experience in semiconductor substrate equipment introduction or development, with a must-have background in SiC product introduction or production.
• Proven success in mass production within leading industry factories is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor wafer substrate equipment, including ingot thinning, laser ablation, wafer thinning, and cleaning.
• Familiarity with substrate equipment and its design architecture.
• Ability to independently manage equipment transformation and improvement, analyze, and resolve abnormalities in online machines and products.
• Experience in training new employees and leading team members to meet scheduled goals. Experience in team development and daily technology management is preferred.
• Hands-on approach with an openness to working in a cross-cultural environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of German and/or Chinese is a plus.
• Willingness to undertake international business trips or delegations.
