Senior SiC Manufacturing Engineer

You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their manufacturing technology centre in Weilheim (greater Munich).

Responsibilities

• Transfer new SiC products and processes from prototype fabrication lines into large-scale production.
• Improve existing process stability by reducing defects, and enhancing yield and reliability during qualification.
• Develop alternative processes to expand process windows and enhance manufacturability.
• Establish and maintain trend and control charts to identify and address out-of-control processes.
• Set up production equipment and provide guidance to operators when engineering support is needed.
• Collaborate with the process engineering team to design and execute DOE experiments.
• Maintain process ownership, including daily operations, equipment troubleshooting, and technician mentorship.
• Oversee documentation release for assigned tasks and provide technical support to stakeholders in SiC technologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in a technical discipline, preferably related to microelectronics, or equivalent.
• More than 5 years of experience in SiC processing, particularly in a SiC wafer fabrication environment, with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Etch & Cleans, Oxidation & Annealing, Thin Film Deposition, or Implants.
• Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) principles.
• Proficiency with documentation systems and basic data analysis tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills at system, process, and equipment levels, with a strong hands-on approach and sense of ownership.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in German and/or Chinese is a plus.
• Strategic thinker with a well-organized, independent work style.

• Open to international travel and delegations.
