Digital IC Design Technical Leader

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Design Lead to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you’ll take the technical helm, driving digital work packages from concept to completion to deliver a state-of-the-art Integrated Circuit (IC) in deep submicron CMOS technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee digital design work packages, guiding them from RTL to GDSII with expertise and precision.
• Collaborate closely with project technical leaders to define the IC architecture, verification methodology, and product specifications through discussions with customers.
• Champion the architecture definition of assigned digital components, optimizing the area-to-power trade-off.
• Work hand-in-hand with the digital front-end and back-end teams to develop detailed specifications for IC digital sub-blocks, ensuring they meet stringent timing requirements through strategic floorplan definition.
• Contribute to the design and verification methodology at both chip and sub-block levels.
• Define the test strategy for your assigned digital components and oversee its implementation.
• Participate in the evaluation of the fabricated IC within the measurement lab.
• Foster a collaborative environment to achieve successful design of a next-generation IC.
• Facilitate and lead design reviews, keeping the team focused and moving forward.
• Compose documentation that adheres to company QA policy.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSc) or Doctorate (PhD) in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field, with 10+ years of hands-on experience in chip and circuit-level architecture definition, RTL design, and verification.
• Strong foundation in digital electronics and signal processing principles.
• Comprehensive understanding of the entire digital IC design flow, from RTL to GDSII.
• Proven experience in leading digital IC projects and providing technical leadership.
• Experience in designing high-speed digital signal processing blocks with multi-power and multi-clock domain constraints is a plus.
• Proficiency in digital hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog), SystemVerilog, and scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python).
• Creativity, proactiveness, and a passion for problem-solving are essential.
• Prior experience in designing and verifying digital functions for mixed-signal ICs (e.g., A/D Converters, D/A Converters, RF Transceivers) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cadence or Synopsys RTL design flows is a plus.
• Strong team player with a critical eye for detail and a take-charge attitude.
