Automated Driving SOTIF Expert
You will be joining an innovative automotive engineering lab within a world-leading technology company at their lab Munich.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of AD/ADAS and Active Safety systems, utilizing ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 safety analysis methods (e.g., FMEDA, FTA, STPA).
- Develop system safety concepts and review system architectures, including the identification, definition, and specification of safety measures and requirements.
- Collaborate with system engineering and development teams to design and review AD/ADAS system safety architectures, addressing fail-operational, fail-degraded, and fail-safe aspects.
- Define and review system and software level safety requirements, considering performance, functional safety, and SOTIF properties.
- Stay current with industry standards, regulations, trends, and best practices to provide key insights that impact our ADS solutions.
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in automotive system/software safety engineering.
- Extensive practical experience in SOTIF engineering, including ISO 21448, STPA, residual risk quantification, and other advanced methods.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive safety engineering, including ISO 26262, functional and technical safety concepts, and methods such as HAZOP/HARA/FMEA/FTA.
- Familiarity with L2/NCAP regulations and requirements, safety challenges, and solutions, as well as relevant safety standards.
- Hands-on approach with a positive attitude to inspire and motivate team members.
- Professional proficiency in English. Knowledge of German and/or Chinese is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel abroad up to 25% of the time.
