Low-level Embedded Software Developer
We are looking for someone to join a global team and build the next generation of embedded software platforms for cutting-edge automotive features. This role puts you at the heart of innovation, shaping the software that powers tomorrow’s highly networked vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Your passion for low-level programming will be ignited as you develop device drivers and craft the low-level software architecture for various microcontrollers in our next-generation central processing units.
- You’ll work closely with software architects and functional safety specialists.
- Expect to thrive in an international and interdisciplinary environment, collaborating extensively with our cutting-edge industry partners.
- You’ll play a key role in ensuring the software stack is compatible with future hardware generations, working with partners to define the details of the hardware platform.
- You’ll work independently while effectively managing your activities and collaborating seamlessly with your contacts.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
- Extensive practical experience in C++ development is essential.
- Prior experience in developing Board Support Packages (BSPs) and device drivers for embedded systems is a must. Experience in the automotive industry with classic AUTOSAR is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and common CPU architectures (e.g., ARM, Tricore) is required.
- Experience with various communication bus systems (e.g., Ethernet, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI) is required.
- Expertise in using hardware debuggers (ideally trace32), oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers is essential.
- Prior experience with developing and integrating software platforms for embedded devices is advantageous.
- Experience with initializing and configuring new hardware (HW bring-up) would be a plus.
- Understanding of automotive ethernet switches is beneficial.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python would be advantageous.
