Senior Technology Strategy Advisor

Location: Leuven, Belgium

We are seeking a senior expert with profound knowledge in ICT and extensive influence in the fields of Computing and AI.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in building academic circles in ICT, particularly in Computing and AI with European academic and industrial organizations, maintaining close contact with European academic and industrial partners to ensure smooth communication with advanced technological elements in ICT, Computing and AI in the European region.
• Actively participate in major research ecosystems of the EU and various countries, cooperate with European partners for mutual benefit, contribute to and influence regional technological development directions, build a positive technology brand, and represent ERI/corporate image in European academic research activities.
• Help layout and maintain technological cooperation resources and high-end consultant networks in the European region, integrate European advantageous resources, build a borderless talent network, and support the construction of leading technological competitiveness.
• Identify and assess emerging technology trends, providing recommendations for technology strategy and R&D direction.
• Attend important academic conferences, seminars, and industry forums to enhance Huawei’s academic standing and industry influence.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in Information technology or Computing or AI-related field with at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge in ICT and strong insights in Computing or AI, able to foresee and analyze technology development trends.
• Significant influence in relevant academic and industrial organizations, with an extensive professional network.
• Successful experience in leading large-scale research projects or industry-academia collaboration projects.
• Publication of high-impact papers in top academic journals or conferences, or possession of significant patents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Strategic thinking ability, capable of translating technological insights into business value.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills; knowledge of French languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within EU.
