Test Engineering Manager

The Test Engineering Manager ensures task alignment and collaboration between engineers and project managers across Europe and Asia. They are responsible for maintaining team competence through training and selective hiring and developing methodologies for assigned tasks. The manager also ensures the team has the necessary development tools and support, and oversees the transition to the TEPE GMI team at the end of the NPI phase.

Position

• Reports to the Test Engineering Director of AES.
• Participates in the AES TEPE leadership team.
• Collaborates with project managers in the BL-AES development organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Test Engineers to develop test strategies and solutions.
• Allocate team members to projects in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure team competence aligns with technology, product, and project roadmaps.
• Drive innovation and improve methodologies in test engineering.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and empowering work environment.

Qualifications

• M.Sc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• 3-5 years of management experience.
• Experience in multicultural environments and understanding cultural differences.
• Experience in a demanding customer environment.
• Knowledge of frontend and backend semiconductor processes.
• Understanding of Test and Product Engineering, as well as project management.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Proven people management skills and ability to drive change while balancing multiple stakeholders.
