Senior Design Engineer

You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their R&D site in Munich.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design innovative solutions for base station antennas and consumer products.
• Lead the entire design process from concept development to prototype creation, working closely with system engineering, materials, and process experts.
• Handle all aspects of design engineering, including creating concept proposals, technical solutions, and detailed component designs that meet performance, schedule, quality, and cost targets.
• Perform FEM and CFD simulations to validate design functionality at early stages of development.
• Present and report on your findings and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in design engineering.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and 2D technical drawings.
• Experience in designing plastic, die-cast, and sheet metal components.
• Preferably experienced in designing electronic modules.
• Experience in product development or research environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermal sciences, with proficiency in FEM and CFD tools like Ansys.
• Curious, innovative, and willing to challenge existing solutions with new technology concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative, proactive mindset.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication and intercultural skills, and the ability to work in international teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
