Senior Logic Designer
A top-tier semiconductor and silicon IP provider is seeking an experienced Logic Designer to join its Silicon IP team, part of its Security Business Unit. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with top inventors and engineers to develop products that enhance data speed and security. The role reports to the Director of R&D Silicon IP and is a full-time position.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in embedded hardware development, security protocols, and cryptography. The company offers a flexible work environment with a hybrid model for most office-based positions, encouraging three days onsite per week with two days remote.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Lead the design of secure silicon IP, including RTL design, clock domain crossing (CDC) analysis, synthesis, and IP release.
- Project Leadership: Manage and mentor digital designers, oversee project planning, and provide cost estimates.
- Architecture and Innovation: Develop block specifications and documentation, and contribute innovative ideas for current and future products.
- Verification: Work closely with the verification team on planning, simulation, debugging, formal verification, and documentation.
- Methodology Development: Collaborate within an interdisciplinary R&D group to drive technical direction, flow, and methodology improvements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with technical leaders across engineering, product management, and customer-facing teams to support high-value product development.
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Hardware Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in the security or semiconductor industry, particularly within R&D or laboratory settings.
- Deep knowledge of SoC, Silicon IP, or FPGA logic design, hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog), and scripting languages.
- Proficiency in cryptography, security protocols, and verification flows.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively.
- Skilled in documentation, both written and visual.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with IP integration, core delivery, and related handoff processes.
- Experience working with technical writers on product documentation.
