Role Overview: As a Principal Researcher in Data Center Networks (DCN), you will define the strategic direction for DCN services and architectures, develop key algorithms and protocols, and drive technological breakthroughs. Your contributions will enable innovations in high-performance computing and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced research to shape the future of DCN services, architecture, and technologies.

• Develop cutting-edge DCN algorithms, protocols, and architectures.

• Drive innovation by identifying and solving critical technical challenges in DCN.

• Collaborate with global and multicultural teams to implement research insights into practice.

• Communicate research findings effectively through reports, papers, and presentations.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Center Network research, in academia or industry.

• Proficient in high-performance interconnection technology and DCN systems.

• Strong expertise in optimizing performance or efficiency of parallel computing systems.

• In-depth knowledge of large-scale distributed deep learning and related infrastructure.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, global team.

Preferred Skills and Areas of Expertise:

• Network Technology and High-Performance Interconnection: Experience with modern network technology, cloud DCN technologies, resource pooling, and optical networks.

• Parallel Computing Optimization: Research in distributed machine/deep learning, high-performance computing systems, and advanced networking solutions.

• Infrastructure for Large-Scale AI Systems: Understanding of training and inference infrastructure for large-scale AI systems, with a focus on scalability and efficiency.

• Network Theory and Optimization Algorithms: Expertise in network service assurance, congestion control, traffic scheduling, TCP/RDMA acceleration, and low-latency technologies.

• Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with new DCN architectures, topologies, protocols, and hardware innovations (e.g., CXL protocol extensions, non-CLOS topologies, GPU interconnections, DPU offloading)
