European Standards Expert – PV/Energy Storage/Power Grid

Location: Germany, Netherlands, or other EU locations (No remote work; frequent EU travel required)

Position Overview:
Responsible for driving standardization activities in the PV, energy storage, and power grid sectors. This includes analyzing industry trends, identifying technical opportunities, and actively participating in the development and review of European standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Standards and Industry Insights:
2. Analyze trends and technology directions in PV and energy storage standards.
3. Identify challenges, opportunities, and scenario-specific pain points.

4. Technology & Project Development:
5. Lead standard-related technology planning and contribute to next-generation technology projects.
6. Oversee the initiation and implementation of industry-focused projects.

7. Representation in Standards Organizations:
8. Actively engage in international, national, and industry standards organizations.
9. Participate in standards planning, technical discussions, and reviews, promoting industry development.

Experience and Skills:

1. Technical Expertise:
2. Demonstrated experience in developing PV/energy storage standards, with contributions to at least two official standards and reviews of two or more standards.
3. Strong technical background in power systems, energy storage, batteries, and PV fields.

4. Industry Knowledge:
5. Ability to plan grid energy storage standards and assess industry trends.
6. Membership in standardization committees or working groups within the EU

7. Language & Communication:
8. Proficient in English for listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
9. Comfortable attending and contributing to international standardization meetings in English.

Additional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, or related fields.
• EU passport preferred.
• Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
• Experience with PV/energy storage systems in design, development, or application is valuable.
