Financial Accountant – Fixed Term

We are currently partnered with an industry leading global computer security software company looking to expand their team with a Financial Account on a 1 year fixed term contract.

This position is based in Ireland, with a preference for the candidate to be based in Cork. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage intercompany balances globally.
• Oversee local accounts and support statutory audits for assigned entities.
• Prepare and review Stat to GAAP reconciliations.
• Collaborate with external accounting providers, auditors, tax, and legal teams.
• Work with corporate accounting and shared service centers on month/quarter/year-end closing.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts.
• Assist with fixed assets, accounts payable/receivable, and purchasing queries.
• Lead process improvements and new accounting standard implementations.
• Support ad-hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant with 2+ years post-qualification experience.
• Industry experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under deadlines.
• Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and able to work independently.
• Passion for technical accounting and staying updated on new standards.
