Technology Insight Engineer – Computing Architecture & Strategy Research

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on computational architecture and high-performance computing technologies. Attend international conferences, workshops, and seminars (e.g., ISCA, MICRO, HPCA) to stay updated on cutting-edge advancements. Engage with industry experts, analyze key insights, and produce timely summary reports outlining potential innovative architecture concepts.
• Develop in-depth analytical reports on critical topics in computational architecture and parallel processing, evaluating commercial potential, technological breakthroughs, and existing bottlenecks. Provide strategic recommendations based on findings.
• Collaborate with internal business units and technical teams to facilitate the initiation of R&D projects related to computational architecture and system design.
• Establish relationships with leading academic institutions (e.g., ACM, IEEE) and engage with key experts in computational architecture to foster industry connections.
• Organize and participate in internal technical workshops and seminars, maintaining regular knowledge exchange with both academic and industry partners to track emerging trends.
• Identify innovative startups and SMEs in computational architecture and system design. Explore potential partnerships and collaborations to strengthen technological capabilities.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in computational architecture, parallel processing, high-performance computing, system design, memory hierarchy, interconnect technologies, heterogeneous computing, and energy-efficient computing.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly absorb and integrate new technical concepts.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin or German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and other European countries for conferences and industry events.
• Industry experience in AI or computational technologies is preferred.
