Network Routing Technology Laboratory

Routing Lab Direction:

Focus on the router industry track, incubate commercially competitive business scenarios, and build core competencies. The laboratory is committed to promoting the transformation of routing technology from “static rules” to “AI-driven,” constructing core supporting technologies for the next generation of intelligent networks in data communication networks and the router industry. Focusing on scenarios such as mobile bearer networks and data center interconnection (DCI), the laboratory concentrates on the innovative research and development of intelligent routing core technologies, breaking through real-time network state perception, AI-driven intelligent traffic scheduling, and achieving close coordination between the control plane and data plane, creating an integrated “perception-decision-scheduling” new generation routing architecture.

Position Overview: Director of Routing Lab

We are seeking a senior expert with a solid background in network technology and artificial intelligence to join our technical innovation team. This position aims to explore and research the integration of communication networks with new technologies, such as exploring next-generation network routing solutions to support the next generation of AI applications and services; promoting the technological development of operators’ and large enterprises’ self-built backbone network equipment, uncovering new opportunities for the communication industry, and continuously enhancing industry competitiveness through technological breakthroughs.

Core Responsibilities of the Director of Routing Lab:

  • Technical Research and Innovation: As a technical expert, lead research on data communication routing and network optimization algorithms to build competitive core competencies. Analyze industry and technological trends in integrated business bearer networks, data transmission networks, and computing power interconnection networks, combining network routing, AI, trustworthiness, and deterministic experience to explore innovative technologies and define research directions related to the next-generation router industry.
  • Commercial Transformation: Build continuous leading competitiveness for network products and promote the commercialization of technological achievements.
  • Ecosystem Construction and Influence Building: Establish connections with universities and customers, incubate new technologies through joint innovation and technical cooperation, and promote industry influence. Attract and cultivate outstanding talents to enhance the appeal in academia and industry.
  • Technical Insight: Continuously observe dynamics and cutting-edge technologies in industry and academia, identify technological development trends, and provide opportunities for product lines to drive business development through technology.

Qualifications:

Skills Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in technical research and team management, capable of leading teams in innovative technical research.
  • Excellent interdisciplinary learning ability, able to quickly understand and integrate multidisciplinary knowledge.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical ideas and collaborating with teams and partners.
  • In-depth understanding of the telecommunications industry, with industry analysis and insight capabilities.

Experience Requirements:

  • Familiar with operator networks, enterprise backbone network-related technologies and solutions, able to grasp operator domain dynamics, understand customer pain points, and possess independent end-to-end solution design capabilities; deeply understand operator networks and related technical solutions, and understand the business expansion process of operator networks.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the router industry, with experience in innovative large-scale commercial transformation in the router industry.
  • Strong academic background in network technology, with publications in high-level academic papers. Have certain influence in academic or industry technical conferences, with industry-recognized technical achievements.
  • Ph.D. in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Possession of relevant patents, technical awards, or experience in senior technical roles.

Technical Background:

  • Mastery of communication network knowledge, familiarity with TCP/IP protocol stack, proficiency in MPLS/SRv6 applications, traffic engineering, QoS, and traffic shaping technologies, and familiarity with network virtualization and SDN applications.
  • In-depth understanding of network protocols, traffic engineering, and network measurement theories and technologies.
  • Proficiency in AI-related knowledge (e.g., deep learning, large model training/inference, distributed computing).
  • Knowledge in operations research optimization, including linear programming, graph algorithms, optimization methods, etc.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding and practical experience in large-scale network optimization and traffic management.
  • Publications in top journals/conferences.
  • Experience in AI large model-related backgrounds.
  • Excellent English proficiency.
