The Role

As a Cryptographic Engineer, you’ll possess a unique blend of skills that bridge the gap between cryptography, PKI, and DevOps. You’ll be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in your domain, contributing to security policies and offering expert advice to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Support PKI users and stakeholders with technical questions
• Manage certificate lifecycles
• Develop, validate, and implement current and future PKI landscapes
• Contribute to the IAM architecture roadmap
• Drive standardization and automation of PKI processes
• Actively participate in an Agile/SAFe environment

Requirements

• Cryptography (TLS, algorithms, PKI/CA, protocols)
• DevOps (cloud/on-premises solutions)
• Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
• CI/CD and development tools
• Windows, Linux, and networking technologies
• Scripting/programming languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Java)
• Security best practices and frameworks
• Professional experience with cryptography, PKI, and DevOps
• Experience supporting users, managing incidents, and writing documentation
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and HSMs

Education and Certifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field (preferred)
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CISM) a plus
• Valid work permit for the Netherlands
