WebGPU Lead Architect – Game Engine
WebGPU Lead Architect (Game Engine – Vulkan)
We’re looking for a WebGPU Lead Architect to drive the implementation and optimization of our WebGPU initiative. This senior role offers significant autonomy to shape WebGPU’s technical direction and integrate it into performance-critical projects, particularly focusing on improving mini-game performance. You’ll tackle immediate technical challenges and have the freedom to lead long-term R&D efforts, introduce innovative solutions, and explore projects like custom rendering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Propose and execute research projects, develop solutions to technical challenges, and ensure timely project delivery.

R&D Development: Create proof-of-concept software for research initiatives.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership to define future technical directions.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, improving your skills in this fast-evolving field.

Travel: Attend technical conferences, exhibitions, and client or internal team meetings as needed.
Requirements:
-
MSc/PhD in Computer Graphics, Computer Science, or significant industry experience.

5+ years of research experience in computer graphics with practical industrial application.

Proven experience with Vulkan and game engine development (e.g., Unity, Cocos).

Strong programming skills in C++, C#, JavaScript, GLSL, WGSL.
-
3+ years of C++ experience in game development or real-time rendering.

Ability to translate technical specifications into working solutions, addressing complex problems with user needs in mind.
