Engineering Director – Platform (Cloud Infrastructure)

A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Engineering Manager/Director to join a leading Quantum Computing Software Company, working alongside their team of world leading experts who build solutions that tackle real life issues.

You will be responsible for overseeing the Platform Cloud Infrastructure division of the business, supporting the team in San Sebastian, Spain. (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Build a robust team.

• Communicate with leadership.

• Report directly to the CTO.

• Build a scalable DevOps and MLOps infrastructure.

• Accompany our transition to offering a SaaS product.

• Enable our business model which is fully driven AWS and Azure.

• Manage huge computational loads for a 100+ Engineer company.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering and/or DevOps.
• 2+ years leading DevOps and/or platform teams in a technology-driven company.
• Leadership experience
•Excellent leadership skills. Ability to prioritize and manage urgency while
delivering on long term goals is a must.
•Solid understanding and knowledge of DevOps practices and agile methodologies.
•Experience deploying SaaS solutions.
•Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes.
•Extensive experience of AWS and Azure.
•Proven experience using automation to support deployment, scaling,
monitoring, and management (i.e. Terraform, etc).

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • Database experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or other.
  • Experience designing and deploying Infrastructure to support machine learning and
  data analytics solutions
