Lead ML Engineer

Our innovative approach allows non-technical teams to build customer support automation without depending on engineers. Highly funded after a recent funding round this is an exciting time to join a high-calibre team full of professionals from top tier companies such as Uber.
Position Overview
As the Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you will spearhead the development of cutting-edge AI solutions for customer support automation. You will have the unique opportunity to build and lead our machine learning team, working on innovative projects that directly influence our product and customer experience.
This is a hybrid position with the team onsite in San Francisco in a hybrid fashion.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning and AI
- Strong expertise in NLP and large language models
- Full-stack ML skills, from model training to deployment
- Proficiency in Python, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
- Experience with AWS services
- A solid background in startup environments
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
Nice-to-Haves
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Experience in customer experience (CX) or support automation
- Deep understanding of Generative AI applications in business contexts
- Prior experience as a technical co-founder or early startup employees
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of ML/AI strategies
- Build and manage a high-performing machine learning team
- Drive innovation in our AI-powered customer support automation platform
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to integrate ML solutions
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and ML, particularly in NLP and Generative AI
- Contribute to the company’s overall technical vision and strategy
