Mixed-Signal Physical Design Engineer
A leading semiconductor IP team in Cork is seeking Mixed-Signal Physical Design Engineers to work on next-generation designs in advanced nodes (3nm and below). This role focuses on physical design for SerDes, Sensors, and DDR IPs used in high-performance, low-power SoCs across a wide range of connected devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute physical design (placement, CTS, STA) in advanced technologies
- Support custom and mixed-signal IP development
- Drive timing closure, low-power design, and physical verification (DRC/LVS)
- Collaborate across global teams on complex SoC designs
- Automate and optimize design processes
Required Skills:
- 7–8 years in physical design or related roles
- Experience with advanced nodes, STA, CTS structures, and power optimization
- Knowledge of PHYs, custom layout, and IP integration
- Scripting (Tcl, Perl, or C) and EDA tool experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
