Area Sales Manager
Area Sales Manager
Purpose
Responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and promoting the company’s professional product portfolio of wheelchair securement and accessibility solutions. This role involves supporting strategic sales plans within a designated territory, achieving revenue targets, and developing new business volumes.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Territory Management
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve revenue targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in sectors like personal mobility, public transportation, paratransit, and emergency vehicles
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline via regular forecast updates to ensure consistent growth
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activity and possible growth areas
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers, and distributors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer account management and support, providing customer with commercial pricing (as per Schedule of Authority)
- Conduct regular on-site customer visits to support product demonstrations, and awareness sessions on the securement and accessibility product portfolio
Sales and Technical Support
- Educate customers on the benefits and features of wheelchair securement systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes and product presentations
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to address customer-specific technical requirements
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports and territory performance analyses
- Use CRM tools (SFDC) to track customer interactions and sales progress
- Provide regular updates to management on market conditions and customer feedback
Collaboration and Networking
- Work closely with product development, technical support and customer service teams to align strategies
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to expand brand awareness
- Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs and market trends
Key Competencies
Essential
- Extensive experience in the mobility, transportation or safety system industry
- Technical Sales experience, promoting engineered solutions
- Languages: Fluent verbal and written English. Other languages to ensure a fluent and strong communication in the assigned territory
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Full Driving License and (EU) passport
