Ecosystem Manager

Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and driven Ecosystem Manager to lead the promotion of our cutting-edge programming language throughout the UK and Europe. This role focuses on engaging and building a vibrant community, particularly within academic institutions and among university students, while closely collaborating with our global headquarters to ensure alignment with overall strategies. Your work will be pivotal in cultivating a strong ecosystem around the language, empowering developers and students to unlock its full potential and contributing significantly to its regional growth.

Primary Responsibilities
– Community Engagement:
  – Foster and expand the developer community across the UK and Europe, with an emphasis on engaging university students to spark interest and increase adoption of the programming language.
  – Organize and participate in events such as hackathons, coding bootcamps, workshops, and meetups, both in-person and online, to create a vibrant community and provide practical experience with the language.
  – Develop and sustain relationships with university faculty, student organizations, and academic partners to incorporate the programming language into curricula and extracurricular activities.

– Content Creation & Advocacy:
  – Produce and share high-quality content, including tutorials, blog posts, videos, and documentation, to educate and inspire developers and students to utilize the programming language.
  – Serve as the representative of the developer and student communities within the company, offering feedback to product and engineering teams to help shape the language’s development and features.
  – Advocate for the programming language at conferences, university events, and industry meetups, showcasing its capabilities.

– Strategic Collaboration:
  – Collaborate closely with headquarters and regional teams to ensure that promotional activities align with global strategies while being tailored to local needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills
– Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field.
– Experience in developer relations, community management, or advocacy roles.
– Deep understanding of programming languages, software development practices, and computing technologies.
– Familiarity with the developer ecosystems in the UK and EU.
– Self-driven, well-organized, and an effective team player.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Willingness to travel across Europe and globally.
– Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred.
