Embedded SW Engineer – DSP 

Responsibilities

• Integrate legacy firmware modules into the testing framework.
• Develop signal processing algorithms in MATLAB, using algorithm specifications or existing code in floating-point and fixed-point formats.
• Incorporate MATLAB reference models into the testing setup.
• Implement and enhance DSP code for the respective firmware module on the latest DSP technology, setting up reference tests in the test environment.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve discrepancies between legacy and current implementations.
• Assess and optimize MIPS and memory usage of modules, making improvements where necessary.
• Integrate and troubleshoot modules within the digital radio system.
• Adhere to company processes and ensure modules meet quality standards.

Key Qualifications (Essential)

• Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with 5-10 years of embedded software development experience.
• Extensive experience in DSP programming using C/C++ and assembly.
• Strong knowledge of OFDM signal processing.
• Proficiency in embedded development toolchains, debugging tools, and version control systems.
• Skilled in using embedded software debugging tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to prototype new features and algorithms in MATLAB or similar environments and validate them through simulations.
• Experience in the RF domain with knowledge of at least one PHY layer standard based on OFDM.
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with Atlassian tools like JIRA and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of quality standards such as CMMI and IATF 16949.
