Founding Machine Learning Engineer

An exciting start-up growing rapidly looking to automate the processing of unstructured data – think PDF’s and spreadsheets are looking to add a Machine Learning Engineer to their founding team. .

This is a real opportunity for someone to take on a high-impact role with a huge degree of autonomy to ship great products and leave a mark on a start-up poised to grow rapidly across the SAAS space. 
 
Ideal Candidate:
Philosophy: You are a self-driven perfectionist who prioritizes quality and takes initiative to solve problems.

Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in training, fine-tuning, and evaluating ML models in production.

Skills: Proficient in Python or similar languages, with knowledge of traditional Computer Vision and Visual Language Models (VLMs).

Tools: Ability to create tools as needed with a high degree of autonomy, such as a Streamlit app for hypothesis testing.

Approach: You possess a quantitative mindset for product development and are comfortable engaging in the entire lifecycle from ideation to deployment.

Core Responsibilities

• Train and deploy advanced models for parsing and interpreting unstructured data.
• Experiment with techniques to enhance LLM accuracy.
• Build data pipelines, assess model performance, and integrate models into our products.
• Collaborate directly with founders and clients to influence product direction and engineering strategies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience in founding a company or developing products in early stages, for example working in pre-series A teams 
• Ambitious, driven, and passionate about creating exceptional work in a great team.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ML and AI.
