Graphics Researcher & Developer – Game Rendering
Graphics Researcher & Developer – Game Rendering
We’re seeking a Graphics Researcher & Developer to enhance mobile game performance by researching and developing scalable graphics solutions for mobile GPUs. The role focuses on addressing current scalability issues in the gaming industry and exploring algorithms to push graphics beyond current device capabilities. You’ll collaborate with an international team of researchers and engineers, working closely with product teams in China and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:

Research & Development: Develop and prototype graphics algorithms to address current performance issues and explore new technologies for future advancements in mobile game rendering.

Algorithm Implementation: Design, implement, analyze, and optimize graphics algorithms to enhance performance and battery life in mobile games.

Industry Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry research from SIGGRAPH, Eurographics, EGSR, and others, proposing solutions to improve game engine graphics and maintain cutting-edge performance.

Technical Solutions: Address technical challenges faced by artists in production, devise implementation plans, and ensure successful integration into production.

Collaboration: Work closely with academia and industry partners to align research efforts with product goals and explore collaborative opportunities.
Qualifications:
-
Educational Background: BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or Video Game Development.

Technical Expertise: Strong grasp of graphics fundamentals (shading, rasterization, culling) and mobile CPU/GPU optimization.
-
Programming Skills: Proficient in C++ (3+ years), HLSL/GLSL, Vulkan/GLES3.
-
Game Engine Experience: Hands-on with Unity, Unreal 4/5, Godot, or similar, and experience with tools like RenderDoc, Pix, NVIDIA NSight.

Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical results clearly and effectively.

Teamwork: Collaborative with good communication skills, including engagement with the open-source community.
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience in game engine development (Unity, Unreal, Lumberyard, or in-house engines).

Knowledge of data-oriented design and ECS architecture.
-
Ability to implement research concepts into practical code solutions.
-
Experience with Metal and/or DX12.
-
Graphics development experience on Android or iOS platforms.
