IT Platform On-Site Maintenance Engineer
Our client is seeking two experienced and skilled on-site maintenance engineers to support routine maintenance, upgrades, and local technical enablement of digital IT platforms across Europe, including Ireland, Germany, and France. As a key team member, you will ensure the efficient and stable operation of the digital IT infrastructure platform, collaborate with the R&D team, and provide on-call technical support to drive customer satisfaction and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Maintenance of the Digital Platform:
- Perform regular system backups and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and security.
- Monitor IT platform performance to promptly identify and address issues, including security risks and potential failure points.
- Optimize resource utilization of service components to improve SLA standards.
2. Platform Upgrades and Optimization:
- Participate in IT platform upgrade, expansion, and optimization projects based on business and strategic needs.
- Implement system patches, firmware updates, and security hardening measures to enhance platform security.
- Collaborate with suppliers to introduce and test new technologies for improved platform performance and reliability.
3. Local Technical Training and Enablement:
- Deliver technical training and support to local teams across Europe, enhancing their proficiency and problem-solving capabilities.
- Develop and maintain localized technical documentation, operation manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to provide IT solutions and consultative support.
4. On-Call Technical Support:
- Provide prompt on-call support for platform users in Europe, ensuring rapid resolution of emergencies.
- Follow emergency response protocols to minimize business interruptions and resolve IT platform failures.
- Document fault handling processes, analyze root causes, and propose preventive measures.
5. Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain close communication with the data center and regional teams to understand business needs and address technical challenges.
- Collaborate with global operations teams to share best practices and innovations.
- Regularly report platform status, troubleshooting outcomes, and improvement plans to regional and global management.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT operations and maintenance.
- Familiarity with maintaining hardware such as servers, network devices, and storage systems.
- Experience working in Europe or providing technical support in the region is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and experience in cloud service operations is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Linux system operations, management, and shell scripting; Python and Java development experience is a bonus.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms, including microservice architecture, containers, and virtualization.
- Strong skills in system design, operation, and troubleshooting within a microservice model.
- Expertise in network troubleshooting, with knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stacks and diagnostic tools.
- Fluent communication and documentation skills in English; additional fluency in German, French, or Spanish is a plus.
