Lead Principal SiC Process Integration Expert

You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their manufacturing technology centre in Weilheim (greater Munich).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and transfer of new SiC power technologies. 
• Develop and qualify new and derivative processes for SiC discrete power technologies. Ensure processes meet device specifications and performance standards.
• Identify and monitor key process parameters. Correlate device characteristics with process parameters for SiC MOSFETs and diodes.
• Lead projects and cross-functional teams to optimize process integration, establish best-known methods (BKM), and define process specifications.
• Utilize extensive data analysis from wafer parametric testing, process control monitoring, and in-line process control to correlate process and device characteristics. Work closely with the design team to integrate findings.
• Identify root causes of process deviations or reliability failures. Define and implement sustainable corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance stability, yield, reliability, and production costs.
• Investigate and introduce new SiC processes, process modules, and technology roadmaps. Evaluate SiC manufacturing equipment, materials, and methods to support new device manufacturing platforms.
• Serve as the primary interface for process-related topics between production, quality, technology/product development, and backend operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external research institutions to introduce and optimize new SiC processes.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor Technology, Microsystems Technology, or a similar discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in SiC processing, preferably within SiC wafer fabrication. Extensive knowledge of semiconductor device physics, process integration, and SiC power devices (particularly MOSFETs and diodes).
• Proficient in technical problem-solving with a strong grasp of methods and tools for evaluation and data processing. Proven ability to design, conduct, and analyze process experiments.
• Demonstrated experience in leading successful projects. Strong strategic thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in German and/or Chinese is a plus.
• Effective team player with strong leadership skills in a multi-cultural environment. Proactive, with a can-do attitude and willingness to step out of the comfort zone.
• Open to international business trips or delegations.
