Principal BMS System Architect

We are looking for an experienced Principal BMS System Architect to lead the development of new system concepts and innovative architectures. You will be a key point of contact with customers, helping to understand their needs and shaping our future system and product strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evaluation of future BMS system architectures.
• Create high-level functional product specifications based on customer requirements.
• Compare different system designs to find the best balance between cost, performance, power, and size.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to support customer projects and system proposals.
• Build strong relationships with key customers.
• Explore potential innovations in system architecture and software.
• Help define future reference designs and product demonstrations.
• Keep up-to-date with market trends and propose ideas for future products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in system engineering and product design, specifically in automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Strong expertise in automotive BMS systems.
• Experience with automotive OEMs or suppliers is a plus.
• Familiarity with automotive quality and safety standards like AEC-100 and ISO26262.
• Ability to work in international, cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English (other languages like German or French are a plus).
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
