Quality Engineer

We are partnered with a leading sensor development company based in Reutlingen who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their innovative team.

As QE, you are responsible for Q&E deliverables -including reliability engineering- within sensor development projects. Your experience in IATF, VDA6.3 and ISO14001 enables you to support product and process launches beyond Q&E to functions that also have deliverables related to these standards. You have a good record in coordinating external certification audits, leading to a continuation of certifications and continuous improvements of the system. You understand the ISO14001 standard and can relate day-to-day operations in the context of improving  the clients’ ecological footprint.

Responsibilities

• Owns Quality and EH&S engineering responsibility for company products and developments.
• Manages customer- and supplier claims ensuring correct and timely responses.
• Represents Quality in internal and external meetings and events, leads Quality-related communication with customers and suppliers.
• Guides, supports team members on quality guidelines and product/process development.
• Drives qualification plans for new products. Including the planification, supervision and coordination qualification execution in cooperation with reliability test laboratories.
• Execution of risk management, use of VDA6.3 FMEA.
• Monitors and improves supplier quality throughout defined supply chains.

Quality Management System

• Ensures application of the latest QMS standards 9001/14001 and IATF16949.
• Part of the internal audit pool for process/product audits.
• Performs first/second party audits based on standards IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and ISO14001.
• Supports third-party audits related to Quality Management System.
• Trains and guides the ScioSense team regarding Quality tools and methods.

Requirements
 

• MSc in Electronics, Physics, Material Sciences, or equivalent areas.
• +5 years of relevant experience in Quality Management in industrial business.
• ~3 years if relevant experience with ISO14001.
• Qualified as an IATF, VDA6.3 and/or 14001 auditor
