Researcher / Senior Researcher- Machine Learning for Networking Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pioneering research into the application of machine learning to enhance networking systems and protocols among computing devices (e.g., CPU, GPU), memory, and peripherals.

• Design, develop, and assess machine learning algorithms to manage system resources and optimise network performance, latency, and power consumption.

• Innovate and create new technologies in the realm of machine learning for networking systems.

• Publish and present research findings at renowned conferences and author white papers on current advancements and future research directions.

• Forge and maintain collaborative research partnerships with leading universities and academic experts in networking systems, computer architecture, and high-performance computing.

• Mentor and support junior researchers and interns.

   

Essential Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Specialisation in Machine Learning with a strong background in Computer Architecture.
• Demonstrated success in publishing research in prestigious conferences or high-impact journals, particularly at the intersection of machine learning and networking systems, high-performance computing, or computer architecture.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Research experience or solid knowledge in several of the following areas:
  • Machine learning models for workload characterisation
  • Distributed machine learning, deep neural networks (DNN), and large language models (LLM)
  • Memory subsystem design
  • Network architecture and systems within datacentre environments
  • High-performance computing system architecture
• Excellent skills in intercultural communication, coordination, presentation, and reporting, with a proven ability to excel in a research environment.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach and the capacity to work independently.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think innovatively to develop cutting-edge solutions.
