Senior Manager Digital Design Engineer / Concept Design

We’re searching for a Senior Manager, Digital Design & Concept to lead the talented team of digital design engineers. You’ll be instrumental in driving the creation of cutting-edge digital products and solutions, from initial concept through to final implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Inspire: Guide a team of digital design engineers, fostering innovation in product and solution development.
• Oversee Design Excellence: Take charge of the design and development lifecycle for digital products, encompassing UX, UI, and visual design.
• Drive Strategy: Develop and implement robust design strategies and processes that elevate product quality and user experience.
• Manage for Success: Effectively manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
• Innovate Systems: Develop new, and enhance existing, technical systems across software, hardware, and various product categories.
• Market-Driven Development: Lead the development of generic and market-specific products, aligning them with customer needs and market demands.
• Research & Application: Ensure developments are grounded in state-of-the-art research and technology, applying scientific methods for continuous improvement, process optimization, and new product creation.
• Applied Research: Conduct applied research to fuel innovation and growth, focusing on quality improvement, process optimization, and identifying new business opportunities.
• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee the development of digital products and modules, from concept and circuit design through to physical implementation.
• Quality Assurance: Apply pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation methods to guarantee high-quality digital products.
• Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and operations to refine planning and strategy.
• Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform design decisions and drive ongoing innovation.

Essential Requirements

• A University Degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering.
• At least 15 years of experience with digital micro-architecture concepts, coupled with deep expertise in areas such as signal processing, automotive communication protocols, or mixed-signal subsystems.
• Experience managing a design or architecture team.
• Proficiency in digital design and HDL capture (e.g., Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog).
• Strong command of software programming languages (e.g., C, C++, MATLAB) and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python).
• Familiarity with common performance benchmarks and workloads.

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with bus interfaces like AHB/AXI interconnects.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety and/or cybersecurity concepts (ISO 26262, ISO 21434).
