Senior Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Automation
Our client is a globally renowned robotics company and they require a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join them on a permanent basis
If you are passionate about robotics, have a knack for mechanical engineering, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we invite you to join our team and play a key role in driving the success of our robot solutions.
As a Mechanical Engineer you are responsible for creating mechanical assemblies for our key customers, assisting with prototype builds by providing technical support, and providing guidance when issues arise. In close collaboration with Sales, Production, and the Industrial Automation team you generate new value for our customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Mechanical Systems: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop mechanical systems for industrial automation projects. Focus on creating efficient, reliable, and robust mechanical components that integrate seamlessly with automation technologies.
- Automation Integration: Work closely with control engineers and automation specialists to ensure mechanical designs align with automation requirements.
- Material Selection and Manufacturing Processes: Evaluate material properties and select appropriate materials for mechanical components.
- Safety and Compliance: Design mechanical components with safety in mind, adhering to industry standards and FEMA. Collaborate with safety engineers to implement safety features within automation systems.
- Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes of mechanical parts and assemblies and conduct testing to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Technical Drawings: Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions and prepare CE documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about advancements in automation technology and mechanical engineering. Propose and implement design enhancements based on industry trends and best practices.
Your Profile
- You are fluent in English and German
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) for designing mechanical components.
- Knowledge of automation technologies, including safety concepts and CE certification.
- Technical background in Automation, Automotive, or machinery industry useful
- Independent, thorough, and team-oriented describes your attitude toward work
- You are enthusiastic, a good communicator, highly motivated, and supportive
- Available for travel up to 40%
