Senior RF Engineer

You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their manufacturing technology centre in greater Munich.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop state-of-the-art RF/mmWave packaging solutions with a focus on optimizing performance across a range of frequencies and bandwidths.
• Serve as the technical liaison between research teams and product lines, driving the feasibility, design, and enhancement of RF components and modules.
• Manage the entire process from design to manufacturing, overseeing everything from concept development to prototype evaluation while working closely with experts in electrical, thermal, and mechanical disciplines.
• Investigate new and emerging RF/mmWave technologies, identify packaging requirements, and propose innovative solutions to address technology gaps.
• Use your expertise to support international teams in defining and evaluating systems, as well as assisting with product and application engineering, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with European research institutes and technology suppliers to facilitate the rapid transfer of technology into products.
• Explore new solutions, investigate innovative technologies, and adapt promising approaches from other industries.

Requirements

• Master’s or Diploma degree in Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, Physics, or a related field from a university or university of applied sciences.
• Over 5 years of experience with RF/mmWave electronic devices.
• Proven experience in the design, development, and integration of RF/mmWave components or modules.
• Proficiency with 3D EM simulation tools (such as CST, HFSS) and circuit design software (such as ADS, AWR, Altium).
• Willingness to collaborate and participate in cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in German and/or Chinese is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively and participate in multicultural and interdisciplinary teams.
