Senior Sales Manager – North America
Position Overview
The Senior Sales Manager will play a key role in shaping our North American sales strategy and translating company goals into effective go-to-market plans that drive revenue growth. We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative B2B sales leader with a strong background in hardware sales—ideally in computing or related fields—and a talent for closing complex deals. Familiarity with machine learning or AI would be a valuable asset in this role.
This role will focus on nurturing customer relationships, leading business development efforts, and positioning Axelera AI as a leader in AI-powered semiconductor solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and results-oriented sales leader with experience in driving revenue growth within a startup or small to medium-sized company. We’re seeking someone who can elevate our business, build influential partnerships, and deliver success in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth and Expansion:
- Lead revenue growth through strategic B2B negotiations, emphasizing hardware sales to enterprise clients. Actively work to secure deals and grow market share.
Building Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify and develop relationships with key players in the AI, semiconductor, and tech ecosystems. Position Axelera AI as a preferred partner for next-gen AI hardware solutions, fostering valuable partnerships.
Sales Leadership and Strategy:
- Contribute to the sales vision for North America and help develop sales strategies that align with company objectives. Play an active role in driving market growth.
Empowering Sales Team Leadership:
- Help build and support a high-performing sales team. Mentor and guide top sales talent to meet growth targets, while fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Expanding Market Reach:
- Execute market expansion strategies and use industry insights to identify new opportunities. Lead efforts to enhance Axelera AI’s presence and impact in North America.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment between sales strategies and company goals. Play an active role in shaping product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with a strong background in hardware sales, ideally within the computing or related industries.
- Proven track record in closing complex deals and driving revenue growth in North America.
- Experience in AI, machine learning, or related technologies is a plus.
- Strong ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams, particularly in enterprise sales and strategic partnership development.
- Established network and industry connections within the AI, semiconductor, and broader technology ecosystems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environments and tackle challenges proactively.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Location
We are primarily looking for candidates based in or near the San Francisco Bay Area, as this role requires close collaboration with strategic partners and clients in the region.
