Senior Software Engineer – Backend
We are supporting a Paris-based start-up developing a groundbreaking solution to revolutionize skin cancer screening. Their work has gained recognition from leading media outlets, and they’re on a path of exceptional growth.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software systems for deployed devices and infrastructure.
- Design secure data pipelines for high-volume data analysis, ensuring top-tier service and user experience.
- Build software to guarantee physical and software security of devices and applications.
- Manage and improve build systems, release automation, and development environments.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize core algorithms, applications, and systems for efficiency and scalability.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience in C++, Python, or Javascript.
- Expertise in designing secure and complex systems, backends, and APIs.
- Production experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in Git and best practices for collaborative development.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative and adaptable mindset for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Desirable
- Embedded Linux development and strong knowledge of the Linux OS and kernel.
- Building secure distributed systems using modern practices (Zero-Trust, TLS, Secure Boot).
- Monitoring, alerting, and over-the-air update technologies.
- Hardware manipulation and setup.
- Low-level debugging & profiling tools (Valgrind, Gdb, NSight Systems & Compute).
- Writing unit tests with Google test suite & Benchmark.
- Test-Driven Development and/or Behavior Driven Development.
