Senior Technology Research Manager 

We’re partnered with the R&D department of a globally recognised tech brand and they require a Senior Technology Research Manager to join them on a hybrid model in Brussels. 

As a Senior Technology Research Manager you will take leadership of a team of Blockchain developers, and will identify and evaluate emerging technological trends, uncover opportunities to develop novel technologies that benefit the wider business. 

You will:

• Identify strategic business, investment, and development opportunities in the technology domains relevant to our diverse business portfolio (including – but not limited to – Web3, Artificial Intelligence, and Security).
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers and developers in management role – including research management and software development management.
• Collaborate with business unit representatives to develop market ready solutions
• Network with startups, corporations, venture capital communities, universities, and standardization organizations.
• Compile trend and technology reports in selected fields, and report trends to upper management
• Analyse and create intellectual property

You will bring:

• Proven experience in performing technology scouting, trend research and/or driving innovation. Preferably in the field of either security, blockchain or AI technologies.
• Proven experience in managing SW or research projects, teams, and stakeholder relationships in a corporate environment.

• Strong eagerness to translate insights into opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
