SiC MOSFET Chip Development Engineer
About the Company:
Our client is a leading Tier 1 automotive technology company in China, specializing in power electronics and electrification solutions for new energy vehicles (NEVs). With a strong focus on automotive-grade power semiconductor innovation, they are driving advancements in electric propulsion systems, including traction inverters, onboard chargers, and DC-DC converters. Their solutions are widely adopted by top global and Chinese automotive OEMs, positioning them as one of the top three industry leaders in China’s EV powertrain and industrial automation sector.
Job Responsibilities:
As an SiC MOSFET Chip Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of high-voltage, high-current SiC MOSFET chips for automotive applications. Your key responsibilities include:
- Defining Key Requirements: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish electrical characteristics and reliability parameters for the chip.
- Chip Design: Conduct full chip architecture design (including cell, terminal, gate bus, etc.) to meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Process Development: Participate in process flow design and critical process Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize chip performance and manufacturability.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in SiC MOSFET chip design, including full-cycle chip development and mass production experience, particularly in automotive traction inverter applications.
- Deep understanding of SiC MOSFET chip structures and the impact of process variations on device characteristics.
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art SiC MOSFET chip technology, including planar and trench designs.
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process flows, critical processes, and equipment characteristics, with experience in fab operations.
