Solutions Architect

We are currently partnered with an industry leading provider of innovative payment technology solutions for commercial customers within the transport sector globally. They are looking to expand their team in Germany with a Solutions Architect to work onsite in Hamburg. 

Responsibilities

• Analyze, capture, and decompose requirements on software projects, engaging with customers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership in designing cost-effective system solutions within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Create and document system architecture designs, functional designs, interface specifications, and other systems engineering artifacts.
• Participate in system integration and testing activities.
• Prepare detailed engineering estimates and technical specifications for proposals and budgeting.
• Collaborate with management and engineering teams to meet project objectives.
• Present system proposals to customers and support sales and marketing efforts.
• Monitor and report on systems engineering performance, identifying and correcting deviations.
• Evaluate subcontractor deliverables against project requirements.
• Stay updated on systems engineering and software techniques relevant to the company’s operations.
• Promote quality engineering practices and support process improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and train less-experienced team members.
• Travel domestically or internationally as required by projects.

Qualification Required

• University degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in requirements analysis, software architectures, system definition and design, and systems engineering methodologies.
• Proven technical expertise on software projects.
• Stakeholder and customer management experience.
• Familiarity with software development best practices and standards.
• Ability to produce high-quality documentation and presentations.
• Fluency in German and English.
