We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and highly motivated Embedded Software Developer to join our Software Engineering group.  As part of the System Solutions team, you will play a key role in advancing computing infrastructure through innovative Neoverse Compute Subsystems (CSS). Working with a distributed team across multiple locations, your primary responsibilities will include the maintenance, support, and development of system software for cutting-edge computing infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and maintenance for downstream product-quality firmware on platforms based on Neoverse CSS.
  • Serve as the primary interface for customers, handling support and maintenance requirements.
  • Manage defects, backport features, and fix issues in the firmware.
  • Collaborate with the release team to coordinate downstream release updates for customers post-launch.
  • Work closely with the firmware development team to contribute to the design and development of solutions for Neoverse CPU and System IP-based infrastructure platforms.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expertise in C programming for embedded systems, with strong debugging skills.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of product-quality firmware, including knowledge of bootloaders and device drivers.
  • Proven experience in defect triaging and management for system software.
  • Solid understanding of and experience with software that complies with industry standards such as UEFI and ACPI.
  • Familiarity with technologies like RAS, hypervisors, CXL, power management, and security.
 

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in supporting and maintaining production-quality firmware in the server segment.
  • Experience working with the open-source community, including understanding of project development cycles and contribution processes.
  • Ability to provide customer support by triaging and resolving reported issues.
  • Familiarity with open-source projects such as Linux Kernel, TF-A, UEFI EDK II, and OpenBMC.
